We have a wonderful natural resource here in East Haven! Our town beach is not only a relaxing place to come all year round, it has lots of activities happening for all ages.
Come and enjoy all of the activities offered, or just sit and relax and enjoy the scenery!
PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE SEAGULLS OR OTHER WILDLIFE
Feeding wildlife leads to:

Bacterial pollution of our ocean, lakes, streams.

Aesthetic damage of public parks

Illness and deformities of wildlife

Loss of fear of humans
Feeding Seagulls encourages them into public areas.
They cause nuisance by ripping rubbish sacks, fouling, are noisy and can be aggressive.
AND
Bread makes their tummies hurt and makes them ill. It does not contain the right nutrition or calories that they need to survive and then they stop eating the food they need.
Come down to the beach parking lot for the annual "Trunk or Treat"!
You may hear a ghost Boo! but it's lots of fun to see all of the cars decorated and get some candy too!
